Critical Notice: Zero Liability & No Wallet Custody
WE ARE NOT A WALLET. WE DO NOT HOLD BITCOIN. WE NEVER HAVE ACCESS TO YOUR KEYS.
BTC21 does not provide wallet services, custody, or financial brokerage. NEVER transmit, enter, or expose your private keys, seed phrases, or wallet credentials anywhere on this site. If you expose your keys or send Bitcoin to an address, BTC21 has no technical or legal ability to recover, refund, or reverse your actions. This free public server is used entirely at your own risk.
Section 01
Nature of Service & Free Community Contribution
The websites, servers, APIs, and peer-to-peer services located at btc21.cc and explorer.btc21.cc (collectively, the "Service") are owned and operated as an independent, non-commercial community project. The operator maintains dedicated bare-metal computer hardware in a tier-standard data center solely out of devotion to Bitcoin, sound money, and network decentralization.
No fees are charged. No revenue is collected. No commercial subscriptions exist. The Service is offered freely to the global Bitcoin community as an uncompensated public utility. By accessing, browsing, or utilizing any portion of the Service, including the block explorer interface, HTTP APIs, or P2P node connections, you irrevocably agree to be bound by these Terms of Service. If you do not agree to every clause within this agreement, you must immediately cease all access and use.
Section 02
Absolute Disclaimer of Wallet, Custody, or Financial Services
BTC21 is NOT a cryptocurrency exchange, wallet provider, custodian, bank, depository, money transmitter, broker, or financial intermediary under any jurisdiction.
No Wallet Generation: We do not create, host, manage, or provide cryptocurrency wallets.
No Key Management: We do not generate, view, hold, store, or have access to private cryptographic keys, seed phrases (BIP39 mnemonics), or passphrases.
No Custody of Funds: We do not hold, receive, custody, or manage Bitcoin, satoshis, tokens, or fiat currency on behalf of anyone.
Client Independence: Any cryptographic wallet software you operate (e.g., Bitcoin Core, Sparrow, Electrum, Trezor, Ledger, Coldcard) is completely autonomous and external to BTC21.
Absolute Rule: We have no keys. We have no Bitcoin. We have no customer accounts. If you lose your keys, forget your passphrase, or send funds to an erroneous address, BTC21 cannot assist you in any way.
Section 03
Strict Prohibition: Never Send Private Keys, Seed Phrases, or Bitcoin
Under no circumstances should you ever transmit, paste, submit, or reveal a private key, mnemonic seed phrase, recovery passphrase, or wallet credentials to BTC21, whether via the explorer search bar, transaction broadcaster, API parameters, contact channels, or otherwise.
WARNING: BTC21 WILL NEVER ASK YOU FOR A PRIVATE KEY OR SEED PHRASE. ANY REQUEST FOR PRIVATE KEYS PURPORTING TO COME FROM BTC21 IS A FRAUDULENT IMPERSONATION. IF YOU ENTER A PRIVATE KEY OR SEED PHRASE ANYWHERE ON THE INTERNET, YOUR BITCOIN WILL LIKELY BE STOLEN. BTC21 DISCLAIMS ALL RESPONSIBILITY FOR LOSSES RESULTING FROM COMPROMISED KEYS.
Do not send Bitcoin to BTC21: BTC21 does not maintain public deposit addresses or solicit donations. If you broadcast an on-chain transaction to an address you viewed or discovered while using this block explorer, that transaction is executed permanently on the Bitcoin blockchain. BTC21 does not hold custody of those funds and has no mechanism to recover, refund, or redirect them.
Section 04
No Financial, Investment, Tax, or Legal Advice
All information, data, block statistics, mempool metrics, difficulty adjustments, fee recommendations, and market price snapshots displayed on the Service are provided solely for educational, technical, and informational purposes.
Nothing on this Service constitutes financial, investment, legal, tax, or accounting advice.
Price feeds (such as BTC/USD spot reference, MSTR, or STRC indicators) are third-party telemetry provided without verification or warranty. "Bitcoin yield" references describe external corporate metrics and do not represent a return, yield, or investment product offered by BTC21.
Decisions to buy, sell, hold, or transact Bitcoin are your sole responsibility. You should consult qualified financial and legal advisors before engaging in any transaction.
Section 05
Nature of the Bitcoin Blockchain & Raw Transaction Broadcaster
The Bitcoin network is a decentralized, peer-to-peer cryptographic protocol governed by autonomous consensus rules and miner incentives. Transactions broadcast to the network are irreversible and permanent once confirmed.
When you use the BTC21 raw transaction broadcast tool (either via the web interface or the /api/broadcast endpoint):
Pass-Through Relay Only: BTC21 merely submits your pre-signed hexadecimal transaction payload to its local Bitcoin Core mempool. We do not construct, sign, alter, validate the financial intent of, or guarantee the execution of your transaction.
No Guarantee of Relay or Mining: BTC21 makes NO warranty or guarantee that your transaction will be accepted by our mempool, relayed to peer nodes, accepted by miners, or included in a mined block. Transactions may be rejected due to insufficient miner fees, non-standard outputs, double-spend conflicts, mempool congestion, or node restarts.
No Liability for Stuck or Delayed Transactions: BTC21 is not liable for delayed broadcasts, dropped transactions, miner fee spikes, replacement-by-fee (RBF) collisions, chain reorganizations, or any resulting financial losses.
Independent Verification Required: You are solely responsible for verifying the status, confirmation depth, and validity of your transactions across multiple independent Bitcoin full nodes and explorers.
Section 06
"AS IS" & "AS AVAILABLE" Disclaimer of All Warranties
TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY APPLICABLE LAW, THE SERVICE, SITES (BTC21.CC AND EXPLORER.BTC21.CC), ENDPOINTS, APIS, DATA, AND ALL ASSOCIATED HARDWARE AND SOFTWARE ARE PROVIDED STRICTLY ON AN "AS IS", "AS AVAILABLE", AND "WITH ALL FAULTS" BASIS.
THE OPERATOR AND BTC21 EXPRESSLY DISCLAIM ALL WARRANTIES OF ANY KIND, WHETHER EXPRESS, IMPLIED, STATUTORY, OR OTHERWISE, INCLUDING, WITHOUT LIMITATION, ANY IMPLIED WARRANTIES OF TITLE, MERCHANTABILITY, FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE, FREEDOM FROM COMPUTER VIRUSES OR HARMFUL CODE, ACCURACY, TIMELINESS, NON-INFRINGEMENT, OR UNINTERRUPTED AVAILABILITY.
WE MAKE NO REPRESENTATION OR WARRANTY THAT: (A) THE SERVICE WILL MEET YOUR REQUIREMENTS; (B) THE SERVICE WILL BE SECURE, TIMELY, CONTINUOUS, OR ERROR-FREE; (C) THE RESULTS OR BLOCK DATA OBTAINED WILL BE ACCURATE, COMPLETE, OR RELIABLE; OR (D) ANY HARDWARE DEFECTS, SOFTWARE BUGS, OR SYNCHRONIZATION LAGS WILL BE CORRECTED.
Section 07
Total Limitation of Liability & Absolute Zero-Dollar (bash.00) Cap
TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY APPLICABLE LAW, IN NO EVENT SHALL BTC21, ITS OPERATOR, CONTRIBUTORS, AFFILIATES, AGENTS, DATA CENTER HOSTS, OR INFRASTRUCTURE PROVIDERS BE LIABLE FOR ANY DIRECT, INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, SPECIAL, CONSEQUENTIAL, PUNITIVE, OR EXEMPLARY DAMAGES WHATSOEVER.
THIS INCLUDES, WITHOUT LIMITATION, DAMAGES FOR LOSS OF BITCOIN, LOSS OF SATOSHIS, LOSS OF CRYPTOGRAPHIC KEYS, CORRUPTED WALLETS, LOSS OF PROFITS, LOSS OF REVENUE, BUSINESS INTERRUPTION, DATA LOSS, HARDWARE FAILURE, OR ANY OTHER PECUNIARY OR NON-PECUNIARY LOSS ARISING OUT OF OR IN CONNECTION WITH:
1. YOUR USE OF, RELIANCE ON, OR INABILITY TO USE THE SERVICE;
2. ANY DELAY, FAILURE, REJECTION, OR OMISSION IN RELAYING OR MINING TRANSACTIONS;
3. ERRORS, INACCURACIES, OR OMISSIONS IN BLOCKCHAIN DATA, FEE ESTIMATES, OR MEMPOOL STATUS;
4. HARDWARE CRASHES, POWER OUTAGES, NETWORK ATTACKS, OR SERVER DOWNTIME; OR
5. ANY UNAUTHORIZED ACCESS, HACKING, EXPLOITS, OR SECURITY BREACHES.
BECAUSE THIS SERVICE IS PROVIDED ENTIRELY FREE OF CHARGE AS A VOLUNTARY COMMUNITY GIFT WITHOUT CONSIDERATION, UNDER NO CIRCUMSTANCES SHALL THE AGGREGATE TOTAL LIABILITY OF BTC21 AND ITS OPERATOR EXCEED ZERO UNITED STATES DOLLARS (bash.00 USD).
Section 08
Assumption of Risk by the User
By using the Service, you expressly acknowledge and accept the inherent risks of interacting with cryptographic systems, peer-to-peer networks, and decentralized software, including:
Irreversibility: Bitcoin transactions cannot be canceled, amended, or reversed by anyone once confirmed.
Self-Custody Responsibility: You alone are responsible for safeguarding your private keys, seed phrases, and computing environment against malware, phishing, and theft.
Network Volatility: Miner transaction fees, confirmation times, and mempool conditions fluctuate dynamically and unpredictably based on global market supply and demand.
Protocol Consensus & Forks: The Bitcoin protocol may experience chain reorganizations, soft forks, hard forks, or mempool policy adjustments outside the control of any single node operator.
Section 09
User Conduct, Acceptable Use & Defensive Security Enforcement
To preserve this free public service for genuine Bitcoin peers and users, you agree not to abuse, attack, or degrade our infrastructure. Specifically, you agree NOT to:
Launch Denial-of-Service (DoS/DDoS) attacks, flood attacks, or automated stress tests against our web endpoints, APIs, or P2P daemon.
Attempt to circumvent rate limits, access controls, or Proof-of-Work anti-spam filters.
Deploy aggressive, unthrottled scraping bots that consume excessive server CPU, memory, or bandwidth.
Scan for vulnerabilities, exploit server daemons, inject malicious payloads, or attempt unauthorized access.
Utilize the Service for any unlawful or fraudulent purpose under applicable laws.
Automated Defensive Measures Active: BTC21 actively runs kernel firewall packet filters, automated Fail2ban intrusion-detection jails, Nginx rate-limiting modules, and cryptographic Proof-of-Work anti-spam challenges. We reserve the unrestricted, unilateral right to throttle, drop, block, or permanently ban any IP address, subnet, or user agent engaging in malicious, abusive, or automated flood activity without prior notice or liability.
Section 10
Indemnification & Hold Harmless
You agree to defend, indemnify, and hold harmless BTC21, its operator, contributors, and hosting providers from and against any and all claims, actions, suits, demands, damages, losses, liabilities, costs, and expenses (including reasonable attorneys' fees and court costs) arising out of or relating to:
Your use or misuse of the Service, APIs, node, or raw transaction broadcaster;
Any transaction you craft, sign, broadcast, or attempt to broadcast using the Service;
Your breach or violation of any provision of these Terms of Service; or
Your violation of any rights of any third party or any applicable laws or regulations.
Section 11

Section 12
Governing Law, Class Action Waiver & Severability
Dispute Resolution & Class Action Waiver: You agree that any dispute, controversy, or claim arising out of or relating to this Service or these Terms shall be resolved on an individual basis. YOU EXPRESSLY WAIVE ANY RIGHT TO COMMENCE, JOIN, OR PARTICIPATE IN ANY CLASS ACTION, COLLECTIVE PROCEEDING, MASS ARBITRATION, OR REPRESENTATIVE LAWSUIT AGAINST BTC21 OR ITS OPERATOR.
Severability: If any provision of these Terms is determined by a court of competent jurisdiction to be invalid, illegal, or unenforceable, that provision shall be severed or limited to the minimum extent necessary, and the remaining provisions of these Terms shall continue in full force and effect.
Entire Agreement: These Terms constitute the entire agreement between you and BTC21 concerning your use of the Service, superseding all prior discussions, representations, or understandings.
